about Jill and Stacey
So you wanna know more about us, eh?
If you didn’t catch our names in the title, we’re Jill (Clark) and Stacey (Prieur). We met in early 2007 on a webshow that took us from struggling, faceless amateurs to having more than 2 million views in a year and being recognised in actual real world social settings: “hey, aren’t you those girls…” But after two years of non-stop shoots and too many auditions to count, and doing a show for someone else, we decided to take things into our own hands before we both turn 30!
So one afternoon on a patio somwhere in downtown Toronto we came up with the idea to create our own webshow – to document the journey of a lifetime; explore a new culture; inspire and help other travellers; and, perhaps most importantly, escape the cold Canadian winters.
Indulge the thrill-seeker in you and join us for an adventure of a lifetime as we spend two years travelling around Australia – no passport required!

Because you guys asked for more…
Jill Clark

Jill Clark started off in the small town off Lindsay, Ontario. Too small of a town to contain the big ideas of this bombshell brunette, Clark moved to Toronto in her mid twenties seeking fame and fortune in the modeling industry.
Like many entertainment hopefuls Clark was determined to make her mark! She became one of the faces for Borba an all natural skin care line, the in-game host for the Toronto Blue Jays, she booked a print ad for Pepsi, was “Jen” in the Lavalife commercial, and starred as briefcase 14 in Deal or No Deal Canada! Clark was on a roll and not looking to lose momentum anytime soon, she then signed a contract in 2006 to host and co-produce her own online tv show called Twentysomethingtv.com
TS had a loyal following for over 2 years, Clark made many new friends, learned more about herself and her peers then she bargained for, and reached over 2 million views worldwide. Clark, a savvy entrepreneur knew there was more to be done so she wrapped production of TS in 2008. Clark always had a lingering feeling that she wanted to continue in online tv, get more hands on with producing, and decided she needed to travel and see the world too.
So that’s the story of how Jill Clark came to “Do the Roo”.
Stacey Prieur

Hailing from the extremely small hamlet of McGregor, Ontario, this fresh faced funny girl, decided to make a career in the Advertising industry she left the small town bubble and headed for the bright lights of Toronto. One afternoon after tapping her pen on her desk repeatedly for a solid hour, she concluded she needed to save her soul and turned to acting.
Prieur quickly enrolled in Second City, got an agent, and started studying with Pro Actors Lab. Prieur flashed her pearlies in a tooth whitening commercial, starred as Sarah in an award winning comedic short Virgin Wanted, and appeared on the Discovery Channel.
This blond knew she couldn’t be bottled anymore and unleashed her funny frenzy doing stand-up in all the hot spots Toronto had to offer. Knowing that chasing the dream is always keeping your best foot forward she contacted Clark randomly one afternoon telling her she loved her show. Clark promptly responded by asking her to be a guest on Twentysomethingtv, after the first day she instantly became a regular and a fan favorite.
Prieur’s antics and charmingly inappropriate behavior also warranted her 2 spots on XM Satellite radio: Laugh Attack, she hosted numerous events for breast cancer, womens shelters, appearanced on Slice tv, Breakfast Television, and Naked News. Prieur was hitting a wall in 2008, and since Judd Apatow, Seth Rogan or Adam Sandler weren’t close personal friends, she decided she needed a change of scenery! Desperate to still perform and write, Clark and Prieur came up with an idea to continue developing those strengths and to travel while living their dream lives in a much warmer climate!
So that is how Stacey P the blond-er-roo came to “Do the Roo”!
