So it’s almost been 2 months since we’ve left Toronto Canada, for Sydney Australia.
One might think it’s the adventure of a life time, and it is, don’t get me wrong, but there’s a whole other ball game on the other side of the world.
Jill and I have been shooting our reality webseries http://www.jillandstaceydotheroo.com
non-stop! For the most part it’s just us. We shoot, we host, we edit, we produce, we traffic, and now we’re trying to sell it. On top of trying to find secondary jobs to fund ourselves before we become homeless! ha.
It’s gorgeous here, absolutely stunning. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect place in the world. I mean Canada has it’s conveniences, our family and our friends, but life isn’t about being in a secure bubble. Australia isn’t the easiest place either, at any time anything could bite you, their customs are a smidge different and literally everything seems like backward logic, but sometimes it just makes more sense.
Jill’s boyfriend has joined us now so we’re sorta like the 3 amigos, or musketeers whichever floats your boat. Which is interesting all in its own. I mean I’m taking in a new country from a single gal’s perspective, and they also get to take it in from a couple’s perspective.
With such gorgeous and lavish settings I can definitely see how Australia is so full of couples. It’s like a recipe for romance, and sharing it with the one you love has got to be one of the most amazing experiences. Being tucked away in a cave at sun set watching waves roll in is like a setting from a movie or something… there’s tons of romantical places to snuggle and I’ll leave that to the love birds!
Where as me… different story… I’m definitely intimidated by all the fiercely fit people down here and loving the fact that for once I’m the one with the foreign accent! ha.
But I’m looking forward to meeting lots of like minded people, traveling, doing crazy adventure sports and overall just loving life and being grateful for what I have and what I have waiting for me.
As for the road, well it’s always waiting. Whether you decide to take a car, train, or motorcycle it’s stretched out like a lazy river turning and bending yet constantly continuing on! Best advice: always fill up on half a tank, that way you’ll never get stuck and you can just keep on keepin’ on.
Kermit says in The Muppet Movie – “Life is like a movie, you get to write your own ending.”
I’m not quite sure if my “movie” will be a drama, a musical, or a horror flick but it’s sorta shaping up to be an un-romantic – romantic comedy.
If that makes sense.
Anywho, laters!
